How to start working on fl.ru from scratch and is it worth working with this exchange?
Good day ! Probably this question has been raised here more than once, but still I want to have a sensible talk with knowledgeable people in this matter. Just recently, I thought about partially freelancing (maybe even permanently if everything goes well). After reading a bunch of posts, I came to the conclusion that it is worth trying on two exchanges: FL - Russian and Odesk - foreign. Now about what I can do and what I've encountered:
1. I rate PHP as "above average", I'm fluent in OOP, MVC, FrameWork Codeigniter. I'm starting to learn CakePhp, then I plan to learn Zend or Yii.
2. HTML5, CSS3
3. JavaScript (Jquery) - also a pretty good level (in my opinion). I want to learn node.js , backbone.js and so on, but for now I'm wondering if it's worth it at all
4. CMS Wordpress at the level of compiling, integrating the template, writing a plugin, customizing the CMS for some specific orders.
worked with various apishka like Flighstats, Gismeteo and so on, well familiar with XML, JSON, AJAX at the level of sending a post request, waiting for a response, before showing something to the user. Worked with various libraries such as PhpExcel - uploading data to Ecxel, PDF, etc.

It is unprofitable to go to fl.ru now. Since the summer, they began to deduct personal income tax from the artist, plus the ruble sank, plus the cost of orders was ridiculous, but it became even funnier. Go to Odessa or some other foreign exchange, or better yet, make a website for yourself and distribute ads in direct and contact. You have chosen quite some ancient frameworks: laravel, yii 2, symfony still all right. With zend and cakephp, you will only find sites for revision. In general, in google / trends, look at what is now the most popular in Russia and in the world. Somewhere on Habré, there seemed to be an article that is now the most popular on Odessa - look for it.
English-speaking:
- odesk.com
- elance.com
- freelancer.com
Russian-speaking:
- freelansim.ru
- fl.ru
- weblancer.net
- freelancehunt.com
Experiment :)
Better go to Odesk. On FL, there are mostly intermediaries and people working for food (it will be difficult for them to compete) :)
Well, in general, why ask? Go try it, maybe you will be lucky))
I work for FL - I'm not satisfied, there are a lot of orders ala "make a turnkey landing" with a budget of 3k rubles, if possible - go to odex.
On FL there are normal orders (although the last time I was looking for in the summer). You just need to brush. One somewhere out of 15 - with normal prices and conditions. Adequate customers still write there.
I started freelancing myself. There, the situation with orders is about the same, only there are fewer "monsters" with a bunch of ratings, reviews, etc., so it's easier to get through IMHO.
I do not advise you to consider other Russian exchanges.
