How to start VDS/VPS?

Greetings! I have been using various virtual hosting for a long time, I thought it was time to move on to something more serious. VDS/VPS servers fit my requirements. I ask for advice / manual / book in order to start using a dedicated server, from zero (from the moment of purchase) to a full-fledged site.

I myself was recently in the same choice. Therefore, I will leave my story here:
Six months ago, I tried Digital Ocean, there, with the help of coupons and gifts, you can get 25-50 bucks in your account without much bother. I installed the Vesta panel, it seemed to work, but due to lack of time I left the idea for later. Of the difficulties, I would note the rights to work with files, dns, ssh.
Emboldened, a month ago, I bought a vps hosting from my hosting provider. This time, everything has become much easier.
Regarding the installation of the most important environment, I can advise Vesta panel:
the installation of the panel itself, with all the necessary environment, is installed from two commands on the server. And after installation - you already have everything you need, including the latest php.
And then, you configure, based on your needs, separately mysql, php, and so on.
Alternatively, for a test, try using a virtual machine on your computer.

With the understanding that you will be bred for grandmas continuously and constantly. Either "the button was pressed by itself", then "the patchcord flew off by itself", then "the screw itself died", etc. etc. Each appeal to fix such a problem will cost you in the annual maintenance of a regular share.

If you have websites (judging by the mention of Wirth hosting), then we will supply you with a panel for free, set everything up and transfer it to VDS, your study will be reduced to a minimum. Administration is also offered free of charge up to 30 min per day.

To begin with, you should:
1) Understand the basics of the command line of Linux systems (if you have not figured it out yet).
2) Choose a hosting that best suits your needs and budget.
3) Decide on the OS and additional software that you will need to work. Read about graphical shells like ISPmanager, Vesta CP, ISPConfig and decide whether you will use any of them.
4) Actually, get involved in the fight. :-)
You can look at the basics in the most concise form here: https://hamsterilla.ru/nastrojka-vds-dlya-nachinay...
Then google according to the circumstances.
