How to start using Google Nexus 7(2013)?

Hello! Today I became the owner of a google nexus 7 tablet (2013). Until this day, I have never had an android device. I read about this OS on various sites, forums. But still, I'm a beginner, so I have a few questions for you:
1) Do I need an antivirus? If so, which one (preferably free)? I read that android is linux-based OS. Where are the viruses from?
2) I plan to use the tablet as a reader, diary and for listening to music. And what programs do you use for such purposes?
3) Advise me sites, forums, blogs for novice android users.
UPD: Tell me, how can I keep the charge longer?
Thank you for attention!

1) If you do not install everything in a row, and only from trusted publishers, you do not need it. But you most likely need it.
3) w3bsit3-dns.com

1. I installed Dr. Web (both paid and free)
2. I used standard programs from Google, but I used MX Player for watching videos, and Rocket Music Player for music. Another good notepad is ColorNote and it wouldn't hurt to install Total Commander
3. @L3n1n agree with this person

android is not just linux, it is completely closed. that is, a virus cannot infect a system. all viruses come down to sending sms to paid numbers. so if you do not install programs such as big boobs and the like from the market. then don't pick up anything.
the built-in google calendar is great for a diary. for music it's a matter of taste and color. would advise power amp earlier. Now he seems to me not convenient with his glitches.
I can advise like everyone else here site w3bsit3-dns.com
