How to start the transition from C# to Java?

I have knowledge of C# at Junior level, I want to switch to Java. The main goal is to learn how to program for Android. Tell me, from which books / materials / videos / etc. worth starting? Tried javarush service - too much water.

Perhaps not everything is so bad.
Read about Visual Studio 2015 + Xamarin.
Or game development in Unity3D + C#.

Is there a lot of water on jr? I don't think there is enough information out there.
Java The Complete Guide 9 Edition Schildt
Java. Professional Library (2 Volumes) Horstmann
Philosophy java Bruce Eckel
Well, then everything related to Android is possible

Start from the beginning. Despite some similarity in class names, the .NET and Java architectures are different. The initial level of C # proficiency may even be good in your case: the brain will not wedge.
I would advise you to first get acquainted with the possibilities of the language. Take a free video course like Android Application Development . Slowly working with the demonstrated examples, get the first skills and feel the development environment.
And then - books, deeper courses, working on different topics and choosing your own path.

You can find something for yourself among this - 1000+ hours of Java videos in Russian

I would recommend Troelsen's two-volume book. There is none of the water stuffed into books "for dummies".
