How to spit out the extra ones with Linux mint?
Sorry for the possibly stupid question6 but still ... I have Linux mint, installed on an 80gb hdd, there are a couple of necessary programs there, with a total size of about 3gb. Now everything is a little more than 10GB. I want to cut the assembly down to 7.5 GB., For further transfer to a USB flash drive.
Can this be done

You need not to cut, but install the bare minimum of packages (for example, the server version of Ubuntu), and then add what you need.
Take arch, and finish it to the state of mint.
Actually a cool topic...
