How to speed up raspberry pi model b?
I got a raspberry pi model b (2011) installed Raspbian via NOOBS. I got lost, everything seems to be ok. I launch browsers Chromium, epiphany and surf - everything is terribly slow, chromium is the strongest, I also tried iceweasel - the same thing. Proc is 100% loaded . I
also wrote a small node-js server with a real-time clock - out of sync in a minute, one and a half.
Is there a way to improve performance and speed up response? Changed overclocking to the maximum value, did not help. I'm going to use raspberry to run a small web application (get requests for API and angular.js) on a node in a browser in kiosk mode.
At the same time, the response of the menu terminal and other things is quite fast (and the percentage drops to 0-1%)

Perhaps you are right, but there are still options to optimize the work of the raspberry?
neighing from previous answers!! talk business.
The console practically does not require computing facilities for its work, only the work of the program itself.
and the browser, on the contrary, "to the waist", is not to say even worse.
put some thread test web application and check the speed - it will / will not work.
