How to specify the main folder of the site on the hosting using .htaccess?

Hello, how can I set the public folder located in /public_html/public as the main folder on the hosting using .htaccess ? My hosting ehost, which is supposedly the most fancy, does not support this feature. What dances with tambourines do you know?

You cannot change the DocumentRoot with htaccess. You can do an explicit redirect .
