How to specify file path in PUG(JADE) from project root?

I want to make my own VUE build which will use PUG(JADE) for templates.
Faced with the fact that if I need to access some file from another directory, I need to do this include ../layouts/root.pug or if it's a picture, then IMG(src="../img/file.jpg") . The way to just add a slash at the beginning (include /layouts/root.pug) doesn't work.
Please tell me how can this be resolved?
