How to solve the problem with the RAM slot?
The bottom line is this: the BU computer, at startup, "blue screens" (like BSOD) began to appear in a month, the error indicated memory, alas, it was the RAM that first fell under suspicion (traces of thermal paste were visible on it, but I cleaned them in that the same day I discovered it, although I didn’t think about the slots, the type is DDR3), after 3 months I bought a hard drive, making sure that the problem was not in it, the RAM came under suspicion again, memtest86 did reveal errors, but I noticed that when With 1 RAM installed in 1 slot, almost no errors were observed (with the exception of the hammer test).
The problem turned out to be in the DIMM2 slot, it only works in single-channel mode, there are only 2 slots. Can you help with something? As I indicated above, the thermal paste probably remained in the slot, I tried to clean it with alcohol and a brush, but it probably only hurt (they said that the alcohol was "96%", but I already doubt it). After cleaning and installing the working plate, nothing has changed, and when you install it back into the working DIMM1 slot and turn it on over time, the video card does not give a signal to the monitor (when opening 2 browser windows), although this problem was not observed before. (The video adapter has 1 GB of video memory)
And yes, I looked at slot 2 on top and under the system board, no burnt contacts were observed
