How to solve the problem with prices (Opencart)?

I work on my template (Opencart 2.0) and there was a problem.
There is a (conditional) price tag. It contains only one price. When there is no discount - everything is in order. But if you add a discount, the price tag does not change, since only the price without the discount is written in it. Maybe someone knows how to write Javascript code or other code to check for the presence / absence of a discount price. Logically, the starting price should disappear.
If anyone has any thoughts please share.
