How to solve the problem of data on broken dvd discs?
We have a number of CDs that have data that has become corrupted in some sectors - I'm trying to recover the data with the NERO tools but it takes a long time and isn't really that efficient.
Has anyone encountered such a problem before? can anyone suggest programs for recovering files?

If the sectors are not readable, then you can forget about efficiency. The more holes, the worse the result. It takes a lot of time to read a disk with holes, and it is not physically possible to speed up this process. You need to understand the reason for this behavior of the disk. If the disc is scratched, then polishing will help to subtract the disc better, if the disc is visually intact, then most likely the material itself has degraded, for example, due to oxidation, then no one and nothing will help you. Of the programs for subtraction, I can recommend ISOBuster. Although perhaps the Nero tools work in a similar way. If the dvd is not readable or scratched, then there is a program that can copy data from bad disks with subsequent saving to the location of your choice on the hard disk.
