Hello. Installed on my TOSHIBA debian8. But I can't change the resolution. I tried many options written on the Internet but nothing helps.
xrandr will default to
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0: minimum 1024 x 768, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
1024x768 0.00*
in etc/X11/ xorg.conf added the lines
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"
# 1368x768 @ 60.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 47.70 kHz; pclk: 85.86 MHz
Modeline "1368x768_60.00" 85.86 1368 1440 1584 1800 768 769 772 795 -HSy$

@Spetros

See mana for cvt and xrandr commands.
With the help of the first you create the parameters of the required mode, with the help of the second you add it to the system.
