I bought a repeater model TL-WA850RE
After a day of use, when connected, I sometimes began to issue the following IP address 169.254.148.38, when turning WiFi off and on, the address changes slightly, but the essence remains the same.
Very rarely, 10-15 seconds after the "crooked" IP, the normal address of the form 192.168.1.134
is redefined switched off).
Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
The most curious thing is that resetting the default settings, there are no problems for a while. Then, somewhere in a day, they repeat.
And such nonsense only on my macbook air. The wife's tablet or computer receives addresses normally.
As far as I remember, once there was a notification that my computer received an IP address that was already registered on the network. However, there were no more such notifications, and I think this is just a coincidence.
Internet without rebooting the device, I was able to raise it only by forcibly specifying the IP address of the computer, the IP address of the router, the DNS server.
If I press the automatic DHCP button, then it will give me an IP address as at the very beginning.
Tell me, what could be the problem, and why do I get such a strange address?

Additionally, please explain why when connecting to a repeater, strange things happen. First, he instantly connects and receives a notification that someone wrote, after a couple of seconds the connection is lost, and about 40 seconds is established. After that everything starts working normally.
Further, sometimes it happens that you go to some site, some of the content is loaded on it, but the graphics and other things are not loaded, as if the content filter is on, after which a minute passes, and the site can be used.
The same thing with YouTube, for an unknown reason, the device downloads the first 30 seconds, somewhere around 1-2 minutes it seems to establish a more stable connection, and continues to download already at maximum speed
All these events do not have a clear connection, or I do not see it. But this happens periodically. And with what it can be connected I can not understand in any way. Thanks in advance for your reply.

UPD 1
After manually setting the IP address and other network parameters, the Internet became more stable. Then the question is why, with automatic distribution, part of the traffic is "blocked" (youtube example), the wrong IP is given and other "joys"?

The problem was solved by manually assigning network parameters.
I specify the desired IP, netmask, Ip address of the router
Next is the DNS server.
Everything works perfectly.

Same problem on TL-WA730RE.
If you turn off the repeater and connect directly to the router, then the device normally receives an IP and works. If you turn on the repeater, then there is a problem with obtaining the address. With all this, on the PC that is connected to this repeater, the Internet is stable even during these failures associated with the loss of IP.
