How to solve permission problem in ubuntu?
The resolution of my monitor is 1440 900
To set the screen resolution, I used this site:
hozyaki.ru/showthread.php?t=822
Almost everything worked out, I wrote the data into the script, as indicated in the article, but the trouble is, the monitor is not displayed quite correctly, here:
It is not displayed on the screen, but the display visibility area recedes from the top and right edges of the monitor by several pixels.
I mean in the screen.sh file this line:
xrandr --newmode "1440x900_60.00" 106.50 1440 1528 1672 1904 900 903 909 934 -hsync +vsync

You generate this line using the command cvt
, it will select the necessary numbers by itself and you don’t need to change anything there.
There is a suspicion that you are connecting the monitor via an analog cable (VGA), in which case the monitor should either have an auto-adjust button (it will move the picture so that it fits exactly), or you can manually move it in the settings. Judging by the fact that everything is fine with the screenshot, the video card set the resolution correctly.
