How to smartly translate preloader?

I am translating a theme for Wordpress. Tell me, how would you translate these words:
preloader, favicon, landing, lightbox ?
It is clear that these are generally accepted terms, but I think they will not be clear to beginner blondes. I try to adapt them to our realities.
My options are: page loader, site favicon, promo site, modal window .

Preloader -- preloader, for other terms there is no generally accepted Russian equivalent yet. The word "favicon" in contexts can be given simply as "icon" or "website icon", why not? Valid "icon (favicon)".

Words do not need to be translated if the translation will confuse the reader and, even worse, confuse search engines. Make footnotes like in Wikipedia (see wiki/favicon).

And instead of "flash drive" will you say "NFP" to blondes, instead of "hard drive" - "HDD"? There are generally accepted terms - and explain them. If they don't understand common terms, then they don't need your WordPress theme.
If you comment on your options:
favicon - site icon - a bad option. There is a site icon at the toaster - at the top left, above the avatar.
landing - promo site - I always thought that landing is the style of the page, and not its content.
