How to slip a false HDD serial number?

Good day, dear forum users.
Please help me to change the serial number of my Hitachi hard drive. The serial number itself looks like "JPW9K0N11J4H7L". I'm far enough away from this, but maybe it's possible to do this by running the program in a virtual machine, to simplify the task?

For VirtualBox there are 2 ways:

1. You can give the virtual disk disk.vdia new unique identifier in UUID format :
   

   VBoxManage internalcommands sethduuid disk.vdi 9e69a89e-e511-4be0-9b86-30248294fb95

2. You can set the serial number (and disk model) not to the virtual disk itself, but to its port in the virtual machine. This is done via VBoxManage setextradata. This method is fully described here.
