How to sever xml files?

Good evening, I'm doing a multisite, I need to import data files, WP can accept files up to 1 MB in size, I have larger files and acc. most of the information is lost, not imported.
Are there any services to parse XML files? because if you do it manually without knowledge of XML, it's easy to screw up
