How to setup webpack post-processing?

It is necessary to configure the following behavior algorithm: so that the build starts in watch mode, and a certain action is performed when the watch is stopped, in particular, it is required that the project is deployed to a remote server, but after the watch is stopped, so that it is removed from there.

The only thing we managed to find is compiler.hooks.watchClose.tap, however, this hook is not called when the watch is stopped, or rather, this hook is not called at all.

The question is, how can such a problem be solved? Those. can somehow make watchClose work or are there other mechanisms to hang up the handler at the end of the watch work?
