How to setup auto-imports of js files in .vue components?

I know that it is possible to automatically insert imports of scss files into component styles, I saw this in vue-cli and in the nuxt.js start template (essentially the same vue-cli), for example, variables and mixins
And now it became I’m wondering if it’s possible to configure webpack so that it also substitutes imports when bundled
