How to set up your own mail server?

Good day. There was a need to create your own e-mail outside of public services. It was decided to create it "at home". There is a domain name and vds on windows server. The domain name is linked to vds. The open server is installed on the server, on which the site is kept. It remains only to deal with the creation of mail, and here are the problems: I can not competently approach the search engine in this matter. Around continuous advertising of Yandex and everything else. That's why I'm asking for help here.

Better change your mind and use Google / Yandex, etc.
They gave you a list of mail servers.
In addition to the standard settings, the following important points must be taken into account so that mail is not registered as spam:

  • The DNS server must have a PTR record pointing to the domain name of the mail server
  • The DNS server must have an SPF record.
  • The SMTP greeting must match the domain name of the mail server and the PTR record
  • It is highly recommended to set up DKIM
  • It is highly desirable to configure DMARC
  • TLS/SSL is good too
