How to set up video streaming through a proxy server?

Hello everyone, habravchane :)
An interesting question arose, the answer to which I could not find something yet.
We have a website on VDS, which has a video player. The video itself lies on a third-party server with which VDS communicates via vpn. It is necessary to make sure that when playing a video, the broadcast goes from a third-party server THROUGH VDS. That is, VDS should work as a kind of proxy that simply passes traffic through itself and sends it to the user to the player. Is it possible to do this and how efficient will this method be?

VDS - centos 8
third party server - windows 10

Yes, it really will work. Get the extra link (with its intermediate links) in the traffic path. But if you need to "protect" / hide a third-party server - then yes, it's a completely working way.
