How to set up the correct operation of the terminal when connecting to an SSH server based on freeSSHd?

I ran into a problem that when connecting to an SSH server based on freeSSHd, the terminal behaves very strangely, sometimes not redrawing some of the characters. What could be causing this problem and how can it be fixed?
