For the needs of the site, VDS hosting provided by nic.ru was purchased. The system runs on Ubuntu.
But for some reason, nic.ru does not provide standard access to ssh with root unlocked and ssh configured. Technical support unsubscribes to a request for help.
How does SSH access work on VDS hosting nic.ru? How to use it?

It is better not to fool around and take a normal VDS. nic.ru is just a thieving domain registrar, and not a hoster at all.

Contact technical support.
They have to give it out.
If they don’t give out, then a copy of their response to the customer as a justification for the impossibility of using their platform.

If you have a user who has sudo access, then connect to the server via ssh, for example using the putty program. Then, in the console, execute the command
sudo passwd root
And enter your password password for root twice.
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: password updated successfully
After correct input, you can connect as root.
