How to set up sendmail on centos7? Literally a couple of hours ago it worked, updated the server stopped working? How to check what happened?

How to set it up depends on what sendmail is supposed to do.
But what's broken - the answer might be simpler. Look at the .rpmsave sendmail config - the old custom config should be there.

Maybe look at the logs, right? This is not to say that sendmail is particularly detailed in the logs, but enough information can be extracted.
