But there are problems with google
In order to still force OpenCart to send emails via SMTP, you need to allow untrusted services to access gmail mail - https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255...
Sample settings:
SMTP Server name: ssl ://smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Login: {Your login}
SMTP Password: {Your password}
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP Timeout: 5

It turned out that port 465 is disabled by default on the hosting...

Workaround
It consists in sending mail using hosting boxes. And set up a redirect to gmail. But emails end up in spam from time to time. And accordingly, they can remain unattended for some time.

Isn't it easier to cut opencart so that it has different send and receive mail and not bother with smtp and redirects??
