How to set up redirect in nginx when migrating to another server?

Hello.
I'm moving the site to another server, how to configure nginx on the old server so that it redirects to a new ip?
Pointed proxy_pass to a new ip, but this was not enough

proxy_pass is not a redirect. redirect is rewrite
what goal do you want to achieve?
