How to set up Puppy Linux on an N100 netbook?

Put on the netbook Samsung N100 OS Lupu 525, full installation on the hard drive. Everything
is fine - but when you turn it on, the minimum brightness of the screen is automatically set and I just can’t figure out how to increase it ..
The only thing that helps in the Grub Dos selection mode is to press the function keys to increase the brightness - then when the OS boots, the brightness is the same as you set before loading in Grub Dos .
When the OS is running, the function keys for brightness do not work, and in order to work normally, every time you turn it on, you have to catch the moment the Grub menu appears and frantically press the function keys. This annoys me a lot - and I suspect that the problem is solved by editing some configuration settings file.
