Explain to me whether it is possible to raise a VPN in this network configuration:
MAC OS X laptop -> MTS modem Connect --- Internet --- D-Link Dir 300 -> PC with ubuntu server
A lot of information and I'm a little confused.
It turns out that gray ip is everywhere, is it possible to use vpn?
If yes, then tell me the approximate procedure, I'm more interested not in how this is done (I found examples of codes and settings), but in the logic of working in such a network topology.

PS At dir 300 WAN IP: 178.184.175.213 I correctly understand that it is gray?

Configure VPN on ubuntu
Forward VPN port from Dir to Ubuntu
On Dir, connect DynDNS(noip and analogs) if the address is dynamic
Connect to youname.dyndns-name.com
