How to set up ftp on a virtual ubuntu (vmWare) so that Windows has access?

Ready vmWare solution - to share a folder - is inconvenient, you need to have access to the project folder. Ideally, I would like to set up ftp on ubuntu, and in Windows using phpStorm directly connect the project to ubunte via ftp from it. Is there a normal manual on how to set it up on ubuntu and Windows? Or there are more convenient solutions for work:
