How to set up Firefox?

Something strange is going on. I'm trying to open a link in a new tab. Clicked on the link and returned to the previous tab while the new one was loading. The page did not load. Firefox displayed auto:blank instead of the page. Does anyone know what went wrong?

1. Write in Google search "How to remove the About blank virus from browsers". Look at the results, for example: izbavsa.ru/tehnika/kak-ubrat-brauzerov-virus-about...
2. Look for an infection, AdwCleaner (or equivalents from the same Malwarebytes) or herdProtectScan.
3. If it does not help, disable add-ons, reset the changed settings and make sure there is no problem. Identify the culprit by sequential inclusion of add-ons.
