How to set up Chinese USB-RS485/422?

I bought such a USB converter - RS485 / 422 (Model: YF-U52D1) on Ali

inserted it into a computer with WinXP, I saw it, you can configure the port parameters (speed, parity, etc.), but here's how to understand what mode is now enabled RS-485 or RS-422 and how to change it?

I myself have not encountered such a question, but I will try to suggest possible solutions:
1) it is quite possible that changes in the mode will be displayed directly in the list of devices.
2) this photo is not entirely clear, many models based on the Prolific PL2303HX chipset have jumpers for switching modes. Is there nothing on the side?
3) ask the seller for a manual in English. rolled many times.
4) google the description of commands for the chipset. try via command line.
ps you would describe why you need it, maybe you don’t need to change the modes.

Is this not in device manager? I really do not have a Chinese converter.
In general, there are not so many differences between 485 and 422, perhaps the cunning Chinese do not suggest switching in this case.

I think RS 485 is half duplex and RS 422 is full duplex.
Most likely there will be no jumpers, not the case .... Probably either programmatically, as shown above, or with the help of drivers.
This module was built, probably on ch341 / ch340 microcircuits. How they switch between themselves (485/422) mb you will find on the docks chip and find out. Although it is difficult to get to them with docks, the manufacturer is Chinese WinChipHead. This is a cheap analogue of ftdi.
