How to set up an RDP session through a router?
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
I have such a situation, I have a computer on windows 7 and a Wi-Fi router ASUS RT-N12 router.
I want to connect from work to my home computer.
I created an admin with a password, turned on remote access in the firewall, opened port 3389 in the router
. It does not help. I register my ip, writes that the username and password are incorrect, or your computer is turned off.
What could be the problem, please help.
Thank you.

And specify what you mean by "opened port 3389 in the router."
Please clarify with a screenshot.
It looks like you did not forward the port from the router to the computer.
Port forwarding is required in the router from an external address to an internal one
in DMZ it is necessary to register the address of the server. Well, it is desirable that it be static.
You most likely did not set up PAT on the router.
And if you need RDP home, then at least do not keep it on 3389, hang it on any random high port.
