How to set up additional 3rd party mouse buttons in Mac os?

I want to buy a wired mouse that is convenient for me with additional. buttons, but it is suitable for windows, more precisely, it will work on Mac os, but only left-click and scroll. And I would like to somehow configure additional. buttons, but 99% of mice do not have software for Mac os, only logitech mice have them, but I don’t like them. Is it possible to somehow configure additional buttons in any mouse under Mac os?
