How to set up a thermal printer for a feeder tag?

There is a Datamax o`neil thermal printer, but I can’t teach it to recognize Tags Eyelets for plants, length 16cm width 10cm. You have to manually adjust every time. How can I set this print area or make the tag completely come out of the printer and not part of it.
