How to set up a remote desktop via the Internet to vmware?

Hello everyone, I have a powerful computer, it has a win 10 virtual machine. I want to work via the Internet from a weak laptop for a virtual machine
, now both computers are on the same network and I managed to connect from a laptop to a PC but it doesn’t connect to a virtual machine, besides there is also a router .. I found a guide on how to forward ports there, but I don’t know which ones: (
who can help? I don’t even know where to start, there are a lot of different guides on the Internet, but not specifically for my case, and I myself am completely green on the network, tell me how to ask the right question, what data to attach? Thanks for the answers!
UPD
it turned out to set up access to the virtual machine from a PC, but it does not come out from a laptop

First, write down who is on whom.
Port 3389 is used for RDP access. Accordingly, it must be forwarded on the nodes and opened in firewalls. If the Windows virtual machine also runs on the Windows hypervisor, then you need to use a different port.
For example, port 13389 is forwarded (and allowed in the firewall) from the border router to the hypervisor. In the hypervisor, port 13389 is again forwarded (and allowed in the firewall) to 3389 on the virtual machine.
If the virtual machine is on the same network as the hypervisor and router, then it is enough to forward 3389 to the virtual machine.
In general, more details. With addresses and networks.
