How to set up a local network on a computer with a virtual machine?
There are two computers. One, relatively speaking, is a worker. The second is also used to run virtual machines (VmWare). It is necessary that from the first there was network access to each of the virtual machines.
Obviously, there is only Bridge. I configured the router to issue addresses. And... Something incomprehensible began.
The OS on the second computer (the host system, or rather its network card) is assigned the conditional 192.168.0.2. Virtual machines on it, respectively, 192.168.0.3, etc.
I look at the interface of the router, and the following happens there - it distributes IPs, but the issuance is clearly not according to my settings. Because all guest OSes connect through the same host network card. And they have the same MAC addresses (physical network card). They differ only in the name of the device (sometimes it displays the correct name of the guest OS computer, sometimes just "unknown"). It turns out some kind of "not very rigid" binding of addresses to equipment. Question - how?
