How to install ESXI 6.0 on HP Proliant?

The HP Proliant dl585 server fell into the hands.
There is a desire to run ESXI 6.0 on it.
What is the procedure for installation, what rake can I step on?

Search for a custom image for HP. If it is not there, first check all the hardware to see if it will work - read the forums, look for custom firewood. You may have to throw firewood from 5.5 - if they work, of course. To learn in advance to push firewood into the distribution through ESXI Customizer.
Then download hyper and install, look at the errors, google and install again ...

What generation? Generations before G8 (or G9, I don't remember exactly) will have an unsupported raid controller. And nothing can be done with it :)
And everything is so simple - download esxi.
Check ALL hardware against the compatibility list.
Install a hypervisor.
You don’t need much space there, we sometimes put it on an SD card (2 GB).
