How to set up a landing page template on wordpress?

Guys, please help me set up the Flip Onepage template on WordPress. After installation, the site looks like some kind of gibberish and it is not clear where and how to move on for a full-fledged setup. As far as I understand, you can install the XML file from the template so that the site looks like in the demo version. After my installation, the site does not look better ( see screenshot )
Where to start so that the site, for starters, looks like in the demo. I think after that it will be easier to customize it to fit your needs. Thank you!

1. Read the template documentation.
2. Install pure WordPress, activate template, import XML.
3. Customize for yourself.
