How to set up a connection between a site and an application on Android?

Good afternoon friends! I must say right away that I am just starting to learn the topic of programming, now I am learning java and php. There is an application created in android studio, at startup it displays a window with a login and password, and then it should connect to the site with tests and issue a test. As I understand it, you need a container in the application that will show the question and answer options, but I can’t figure out how to glue it all together. Can someone explain to me the bad guy how it works and what topics to study. thanks in advance.
