How to set up a browser for a usb modem?

In general, I'm leaving for a couple of days to rest, where there is no normal Internet. Sobvtsenno I will use a laptop with a USB modem. such experience has already been and there has always been one problem - traffic is consumed very quickly. Actually the question is: how to configure the browser so as to save traffic as much as possible?
ps Ideally, set up Chrome, but if there are other browsers that do a good job with this task, I won't mind either.
