In general, this is the problem: I installed apachy2, I create an html folder in the site directory, the index.php file is in it, the css file is in the css folder, and so, in the index file I write the path to the css file, I write like this: ../css/main .css but it doesn't work for some reason, the file doesn't connect. I myself don’t like to create extra folders, but it doesn’t work differently, if I don’t put the index.php file in the html folder, the server stupidly doesn’t see it, damn it ..

show the structure, according to your description it is not at all clear what is where
If I understood correctly, then instead of ../css/main.css there should be css/main.css
