How to set permissions in Samba Server pointwise?
Good day. There is a task to create the following network drive:
\\192.168.1.5\Disk
1) special ==>
- folder 1
- folder 2
2) share ==>
- folder 1
- folder 2
Required conditions:
a) two users on the disk (admin ;user), login and password (I figured it out)
b) only admin can get into the special folder (with full rights, except for deletion), both users (admin;user) can get into the share folder
c) delete the special folder (and all nested) and no user can share
d) everyone writes in the share folder, but only admin creates and deletes folders
Samba config:
[global]
workgroup = WORKGROUP
security = user
map to guest = bad user
wins support = no
dns proxy = no
[Disk]
path = /srv/samba/All
guest ok = no
browsable = yes
read only = yes
valid users = admin, user, smbadmin
write list = smbadmin
force user = smbadmin
