How to set dependent element in zabbix?

Good afternoon! I created a data element in Zabbix and immediately ran a test, all this can be seen on the 1st screenshot
. Then I created a dependent data element and added preprocessing. When trying to run a test, the dependent element does not substitute the value from the parent element. How can the problem be solved?

As far as I understand, Zabbix passes data from the parent element to the descendants. Therefore, if a test is carried out, then on the parent element. While IMHO unlikely to work, testing only gets/shows data. And for complete processing in descendants, you need a full-fledged "execution".
