How to send a notification to a visitor when registering on the site?

It seems like a standard function, but I can not find where to set it up.
Please tell me where these settings are stored, I see the types of mail events and letter templates, but I don’t understand how to make them work.

In your template it was stated that it is sent from #DEFAULT_EMAIL_FROM# to #DEFAULT_EMAIL_FROM#. Those. he sent to himself and not to a new user.
In the "to" field, you need to put #EMAIL# - this is the user's email.

How do you know they don't work?
in general, there are no settings other than the general ones in the main module.
If the components for registration are standard, then they themselves initialize events .
If the component is not standard, then you can catch an event in init.php and send a letter to it.

In the types of mail events, create a new type:
Then, in the list of mail event templates - addresssite.ru/bitrix/admin/message_admin.php?lang=ru,
create a new mail template:
In general, look first. Maybe you have already created everything, just the type and template are inactive.
