How to select another project when creating a subtask?

When creating a subtask, it is possible to specify another available project tracker.
Is it possible, using any plugin (which one?), to also specify the project?
So far, I've found a non-obvious way: create a new task in the target project and specify the number of the parent task from the source project for it. This method does not seem convenient.
