How to secure hard drives?

At work, a lot of people pass through my office all the time. I'm afraid that in the moment of my absence someone would not learn something, you yourself know what kind guys you sometimes meet in offices. Tell me, how can I hide hard drives? So that you can always get it, but the place was not obvious.

The question is certainly strange. The answers will also be strange:
1. The box in the table is locked with a key
2. Glue it under the table
3. Put it under the carpet
4. Close it in the safe and drill a hole for the usb cable in the back
5. Buy a case with a key for the system unit, put the disk inside the system unit
6 Sealing the place of storage))

Are you worried about disks or data leakage on them? Use encryption, for example. Same TrueCrypt

Well, here you can either hide everything in a lockable drawer of the table, or you can try to make a cache in the wall. It's not difficult, it's not particularly striking. There are hatches for painting www.xammer-luki.ru/cat/santeh/lyuki-pod-pokrasku-m... , they are very strong and reliable, but visually they are absolutely invisible. Of course, it's up to you to decide, if everything is so serious at work, then you should get confused. Although the situation is certainly strange.

Oops, but you can easily steal disks from a working computer? Buy a case with non-standard screws (fasteners), tighten it tightly, put all the screws (fasteners), lay the wires so that they interfere with pulling out, tighten the wires with ties.
Atomic version - a little superglue on the junction of the screw and the case

If we are talking about limiting physical access to technology
, then, as an option, you can work on a thin client , connecting via a network to the main computer, which is not far away, say, locked in the back room.
then you need to install the software and set up data backup for storage in a remote location (on your own hosting server or in cloud hosting).

A strange question, and not an option to close the office while you are leaving?
Well, if of course you are not alone in the office, then option 1. Put a sign on the table (you touch the tin, I'll punch you in the face, I see everything). They laugh but are afraid to touch;)
