How to search for orders on upwork?

Friends, I decided to try upwork and freelancing in general. I do not understand how to search for an order? In the sense that I enter keywords in the search. Then I look at offers. Each proposal already has from 15 to 50 responses. How to get an order in such a situation, to be honest, it is not entirely clear to me. But judging by the reviews here, people somehow get them.

it is better to find a remote job or an office than upwork. If it was still possible to earn money on elance, now that's it. Freelancing through upwork is dead and a freelancer is always wrong :)
