How to save mount directory in docker image?

Docker

Created my image via docker build.
Mounted the directory from the host when docker run via -v
Made other changes
Committed and pushed the image
On a new start, without mounting this directory forcibly, via -v it is not inside the image.
How to make a directory persist in the image when committing?
