How to save data in many to many relationship in yii2?

there is a projects table, there is an intermediate table, there is a users table,
how to save all users who participate in the project? only transactions and foreach come to mind.
I read that there is a link but I do not quite understand how to use it and whether it is suitable for solving this problem.
