How to save closed captions from Lynda.com?

I want to register on Lynda.com to be able to save subtitles.
I save the video with the StreamTransport program.
Saves for some reason in .mp4 (why not in .mov?!).
Advise the program that would save the subtitles in a separate file with time codes, and the video is preferably in mov.
